Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. At Matri Zone, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please follow the process outlined below.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your Matri Zone account, please send an email to:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Please include the following information in your email:

  • Your registered email address or phone number
  • Your full name as it appears on your Matri Zone profile
  • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, photos, personal details)
  • Your contact information (email, phone number)
  • Your preferences and match criteria
  • Your conversations and messages with other members
  • Your interests sent and received
  • Your premium membership details
  • Your horoscope and Kundali information

Data Retention

While most of your data is deleted immediately, some information may be retained for the following purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: Transaction records and payment information may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations in Sri Lanka
  • Fraud Prevention: Information related to banned or suspended accounts may be retained to prevent misuse
  • Backup Systems: Your data may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted

After the retention period, all data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Processing Time

We will process your account deletion request within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been successfully deleted.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • You will lose access to all premium features immediately
  • Your profile will no longer be visible to other members
  • You will not receive a refund for any unused premium membership time
  • You can create a new account at any time, but your previous data will not be restored

Alternative Options

If you're not ready to delete your account permanently, consider these alternatives:

  • Deactivate Your Profile: Hide your profile temporarily without deleting your data
  • Adjust Privacy Settings: Control who can see your profile and contact you
  • Pause Notifications: Stop receiving emails and push notifications
